A National Industry Platform Supporting CBAM Readiness and Trusted Cross-Border Trade with the European Union

New Delhi, India:As the European Union transitions CBAM from a reporting mechanism to a full compliance regime, Indian industry today marks an important step in strengthening its export ecosystem with the launch of the India CBAM Registry (www.IndiaCBAMRegistry.org) — a national, industry-led digital platform designed to enable EU buyers to discover CBAM-ready Indian suppliers and support exporters in meeting evolving carbon transparency requirements.

The India CBAM Registry has been instituted to serve as a central reference platform for CBAM-covered goods, bringing together Indian manufacturers, exporters, and European importers under a standardized, transparent, and credible framework. The platform supports India’s broader low-carbon trade readiness by improving supplier visibility, data discipline, and buyer confidence in CBAM-relevant supply chains.

The Registry initiative is being rolled out with the involvement, participation and support from leading export promotion and industry bodies, including the Services Export Promotion Council (SEPC, under Ministry of Commerce and Industries), and The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI). The platform will be officially unveiled at a national online launch event on 28 January 2026 at 10:00 AM IST.
